It's a big day for female artists and the entrepreneurial spirit.

Just hours after Hayley Williams tweeted out that she was starting her own hair dye company, Canadian synth-pop star Grimes decided to employ Instagram to make an announcement of her own: she's in the perfume business now.

Grimes will be collaborating with noted fashion designer and daughter-of-a-Beatle Stella McCartney to develop a sustainable, environmentally-friendly fragrance, while also serving as one of the faces of the brand, POP, according to a post from McCartney on Twitter:

While the actual scent of the fragrance will consist of sandalwood and tuberose, McCartney's website, where you can register to preorder the scent, states that, "Pop is a mindset that captures the free spirit of the women who wear it."

Now that I think of it, sandalwood always did kind of smell like free spirit.
