Update (1:13 p.m. ET 3/31): XXL reports that Scooter is not officially managing Kanye. He is merely consulting him.

Original story: Kanye West might be under the management of Justin Bieber mastermind Scooter Braun, Billboard reports.

Billboard writes that Braun and West have been working with each other for about a month, and that the SchoolBoy Records founder will team up with 'Ye's current rep Izzy Zivkovic. But they also say that another insider has refuted the claim. A rep for West did not immediately return Fuse's request for comment.

Just last week, the rapper made a cameo with Braun on Bieber's Instagram. They were seeing praying together backstage on the Purpose World Tour.

And don't forget that Kanye's favorite track from 2015 was Bieber's "What Do U Mean?," which he boisterously sang along with during JB's concert.

Obviously, he thinks Bieber is doing something right. Perhaps he wants to be on that path, too.

Kanye is prepping the wide release of The Life of Pablo on all streaming services, after premiering rough cuts of the songs in February. He has since repackaged "Famous," using the Rihanna-featuring track at TLOP's lead single.
