M83 has at long last announced the follow-up to 2011’s Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. Junk is due out Apr. 8 through Mute.

The album release will come exactly one week before Anthony Gonzalez’s electronic project performs at Coachella on Apr. 15. M83 is also performing at Sasquatch!, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo and a slew of other summer festivals.

Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming spawned a crossover hit, “Midnight City,” for M83. Junk will be the group’s seventh studio album.

M83 is also going out on tour this spring to support the new album. YACHT will join the group on the trek, which kicks off in New Orleans on Apr. 6.
