Star Trek fans and beauty lovers will unite this fall, as MAC Cosmetics has teamed up with the iconic film and TV franchise for a new makeup collection. The collaboration comes as part of Star Trek's 50th anniversary this year.
The 25-product line is set to arrive online Aug. 25 and hit stores Sept. 1. But for you die hard cosplayers, an exclusive pre-sale will be made available on July 21 at San Diego Comic Con. The makeup, which includes tons of sparkle and warm colors, takes inspiration from characters like Lt. Uhura, Commander Deanna Troi, Vina the green-skinned Orion Slave Girl and Seven of Nine.
MAC’s senior vice president and group creative director James Gager said:
“Star Trek is an iconic pop culture phenomenon whose storylines pushed gender and racial boundaries. For its 50th anniversary, we celebrate each of Star Trek’s powerful women in a transcending, transformational makeup collection.”

MAC is famous for collaborating with celebrities and huge franchises (remember that super neon collection with The Simpsons two years ago?). Over the past few years they've teamed up with pop ladies like Rihanna, Hayley Williams, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande and, most recently, Halsey.
Star Trek is also gearing up for the July 8 film release of Star Trek Beyond, and a new CBS series of the sci-fi show will broadcast in January 2017. Hannibal executive producer and Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller is set to be the showrunner.
