2016 marks 19 years since the murder of Notorious B.I.G., and longtime friend/business partner Puff Daddy plans to honor the late icon with a major tribute concert. A slew of modern and classic Bad Boy Entertainment artists will perform at Brooklyn's Barclays Center (Biggie's hometown) on May 20—which is just a day before what would have been the rapper's 44th birthday.
The lineup includes Diddy himself, as well as special guests Jay Z and Mary J. Blige. Other artists of the Bad Boy family like Faith Evans, R&B group 112, Mario Winans, French Montana, Total, Mase and Yonkers' rap crew The Lox with Jadakiss are also set to perform.
According to a press release, the concert will be “filled with material spanning Bad Boy Entertainment’s 20 years as the driving force behind hip hop music.” Basically, if you're a shiny suit-rocking '90s hip-hop lover, this is a show that cannot be missed!
The tribute event announcement comes after Faith Evans recently teased a collaborative album The King and I and a possible B.I.G. hologram tour. Check out our own tribute to the artist in Fuse's "This Week In History" segment below:
