Sam Smith has had enough of social media as of late: The singer announced on Tuesday (Mar. 1) that he is taking a break from Twitter.
"I'm logging off for a while. Some Martinis shaken not stirred are definitely in order," he tweeted last night. While Smith didn't specify his reasoning behind quitting the site, it isn't hard to guess why!
After incorrectly claiming he was the first openly LBGT winner of Best Original Song (he won for Spectre's "Writing's on the Wall"), the U.K. artist found himself in a Twitter tiff with fellow Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black.

The screenwriter, who took home the 2009 award for Best Screenplay for Milk, tweeted this snarky response to the singer's speech: "Hey @SamSmithWorld, if you have no idea who I am, it may be time to stop texting my fiancé." Smith cooled down the drama with a so-so apology, but now it seems that he is over social media all together.
