Gwen Stefani is on the cusp of releasing her third studio album This is What the Truth Feels Like on March 18. Actor Peter Dinklage is still featuring prominently on Game of Thrones, and generally helping HBO maintain an industry-wide stronghold on cable television. So why not have the duo link up as musical guest and host on Saturday Night Live, one of the most coveted gigs in the world of show-business? Well, that's exactly what's happening April 2.
SNL tweeted the fortuitous news during last night's episode, which starred Ariana Grande and a very forgetful Larry David:
April 2 will be Dinklage's first Saturday Night Live hosting job. The actor made a 2013 cameo appearance in a Weekend Update bit, wherein he crashed a Drunk Uncle rant as the raving boozehound, "Peter Drunklage." We're hoping this is reprised, for obvious reasons.
Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani has been working the late night circuit to promote her forthcoming album. The singer recently dropped the video for "Misery," the third single from This is What the Truth Feels Like—which apparently ISN'T all about Blake Shelton—unlike the subsequent song, "Make Me Like You."
