The upcoming Barack Obama biopic Barry just added two rising stars to their cast. According to VarietyStraight Outta Compton’s Jason Mitchell and Boyhood's Ellar Coltrane have joined the project.

Directed by Vikram Gandhi (who is a producer of HBO series Vice), the film will focus on Obama's college days at New York's Columbia University. There is no word of when it will premiere, as filming is set to begin later this month.

Last month, the Barry producers revealed that Devon Terrell (HBO's Codes of Conduct) and Anya Taylor-Joy (A24’s The Witch, Morgan) received lead roles. Barry will be produced by Cinetic Media and Black Bear Pictures (The Imitation Game, Gold, Suburbicon).
