When The Summer Set declared "I'm a bit too pop for the punk kids / But I'm too punk for the pop kids" in their single "Figure Me Out," we didn't realize how well that sentiment would translate into their new music.

The pop-punk outfit shared "Jean Jacket," a new track from their forthcoming Stories for Monday album, that sees the Arizona natives embracing moody synthesizers and even some saxophones on the bridge. It's a little M83, a little Carly Rae Jepsen, and the unexpected production makes it stand out that much more. 

"Jean Jacket" follows "Missin' You" and Stories for Monday's lead single "Figure Me Out" to hype up the group's new LP, out on April 1.
