Super Bowl? What Super Bowl? Taylor Swift's pit crew announced on Wednesday (March 9) that the "New Romantics" singer will headline the Forumla 1 Grand Prix race in Austin, Texas, on October 22, 2016.

I know, October is a long way away, but tickets can be nabbed April 6. And there's another reason to rev your engines: this is Taylor's first scheduled performance of 2016.

The Grand Prix is one of the biggest events in racing, and since it's a Swiftie joke that sponsorship ties allegedly block Taylor from performing at football's biggest event, this may be the next best thing from the Super Bowl. Can you imagine how many T.S. fans are going to show up to watch the race this year?

Might we hear any new material at the Grand Prix? Well, if you look at Taylor's record of releasing music in the fall, and her seemingly two-year schedule for albums, we just might. Of course, we can dream.
