The Strokes may be returning with new music as early as Friday night (March 11). Let's take a look at all the clues that point in that direction of a follow-up to 2013's Comedown Machine:

1. They're slated to perform at SXSW tonight at a Samsung event. The Austin festival is a place where artists are known to showcase new music.

2. Music dude Jesse Kirshbaum, CEO of Nue Agency, tweeted about listening to a new Strokes song on Thursday. Then he deleted his tweet. Shady!

3. After saying they were working on new music last fall—which bands say all the time—there's concrete proof that they actually visited a studio in Mexico three months ago.

4. The Governors Ball organizers said they booked the band for the June festival because they new there'd be new music involved.
