Travis Barker revealed last December that Blink-182 would release a new record this year, albeit without founding guitarist, Tom DeLonge. But the void was filled by Matt Skiba—guitarist and vocalist of punk-outfit Alkaline Trio—and now Blink-182 is back in business, working on its 7th studio album.

And it appears that the sessions went very well. Today the band tweeted a video of Barker playing the intro to a forthcoming song from the new album. Understandably, the drum beat is pure Travis Barker:

Wowzers, what a mind-boggler that drum beat is!

Since much of the band's recent history has been plagued with drama, it's good to see the pop-punk veterans plugging away at their first album since 2011. The still-unnamed record will release sometime this summer, and no doubt boast more of Barker's trickery. Oh yeah, and according to Barker himself, the album is already finished. Sit tight, Blink fans.
