Ailee is coming home this summer. The New Jersey-raised K-pop diva is the latest artist revealed for KCON's East Coast date today (April 14) with the world's No. 1 Korean-culture festival adding its first solo star to its increasingly impressive lineup.
Alongside a slate of still-to-be-revealed acts coming to both to the fest's East and West coast dates, the powerhouse vocalist will meet her fans and take the stage at the massive Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. Earlier this month it was revealed that, for the first time ever, KCON New York will hold two days of panels, workshops, food trucks, artist meet-and-greets and convention fun along with two days of concerts.
The YouTuber-turned-K-pop-star initially captured the scene's attention with her winning appearance on the reality show Singer and Trainee. Since she's released a consistent string of vocally impressive, R&B-pop numbers including last year's "Mind Your Business," off her debut album Vivid.
KCON will continue announcing more artists for the 2016 lineup during its weekly #KCONLiveChat at 8/7c on Thursdays. Check back to Fuse every week for the latest artist announcements too.
KCON returns to the East Coast on on June 24 and 25. A month later, the fest will hit Los Angeles for three days of fun during July 29-31 at the city's famous Staples Center.
