Oscar winner Alicia Vikander is reportedly taking over the role of Lara Croft in the upcoming reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise.

According to The Wrap, Vikander has signed on to the MGM/Warner Bros./GK Films project, based on the wildly popular video game series. Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Daisy Ridley was rumored to be in the running for the action-adventure movie.

Angelina Jolie portrayed Croft in a pair of films, 2001’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and 2003’s Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life. Like Vikander, who just won an Academy Award for The Danish Girl, Jolie had just won an Oscar for Girl, Interrupted when she signed on to the franchise.

The upcoming Tomb Raider does not yet have a release date. Roar Uthaug (The Wave) is set to direct.
