Update 7:30 P.M.: New Blink-182, that is, Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba, paid a visit to KROQ a day early to officially premiere "Bored the Death." Hoppus explained the leak was a mistake and that the video we saw earlier was, in fact, the actual lyric video for the song. Tomorrow they'll return to the radio station to announce a tour. We'll have to wait and see who they're hitting the road with! For now, you can listen to the new song above.

Update 4:20 P.M.: The new Blink-182 track "Bored to Death" has been taken down. Expect to hear it Thursday (April 28) at 10 a.m. ET on KROQ's The Kevin & Bean Show. Read about that here.

Original story 4:19 P.M.: Completely unexpectedly, a new Blink-182 has surfaced, their first song without founding guitarist Tom DeLonge. It's called "Bored to Death," and you can hear it above which what appears to be the lyric video. It was originally reported the song would arrive tomorrow morning.

The imagery in the clip is the very same we hypothesized was official artwork for their upcoming release...perhaps it still is? Or maybe it's the single cover? At any rate, watch and listen here.

The clip recalls self-titled 2003-era Blink with Mark Hoppus' deep voice carrying the tune. When the song ends, a note directing us to Blink182.com. The word "California" is seen in bright red text. Could that be the album title, too?
