As Vinyl's coming to the close of its first season, so are the covers that various rock and pop stars have been contributing to its soundtrack. From the jump, Vinyl's made a point to modernize the classics that populate the series, having artists like Nate Ruess of fun. and Trey Songz reimagine hits like "Life on Mars?," "I Dig Your Mind," "Stay With Me Baby" and more.

Charli XCX is the latest to join the fray, with a damn near perfect take on the Stooges' "No Fun." Needless to say, it's plenty fun, and Charli gives the Vinyl soundtrack a sassy jolt with this hyper current-feeling update of the track.

The "Boom Clap" hitmaker has had a full-speed-ahead 2016 so far: She launched her label, Vroom Vroom Recordings, and her new single, "Vroom Vroom," back in February. She's reportedly got another full-length on the way. So all of this and the Vinyl cover make Charli a very busy pop force to be reckoned with, indeed.

Listen to Charli's take on the Stooge's "No Fun" below, and tune in for Vinyl's season finale April 17 on HBO.
