The rumors are true! After reports surfaced of Charlize Theron being in talks to join Fast & Furious back in February, the franchise has now confirmed that the actress will officially be part of the cast.
According to Variety, there aren't concrete details of Theron's Fast 8 role but she is expected to be playing a villain—something that she does really well (just check out this The Huntsman: Winter’s War trailer).
Fast 8 is set to arrive on April 14, 2017. The film franchise will continue its epic run with two new installments (Fast 9 and 10—the placeholder titles for now) will be released in 2019 and 2021. Deadline first reported Vin Diesel said "that Fast 8 was intended to form the first installment of a trilogy that will bring the series to a conclusion after 10 films." The final films will be in honor of the late Paul Walker.
