After their comedic success as hosts of the 2016 MTV Movie Awards, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart might be appearing in Sony’s remake of Jumanji.
Variety reported that the two actors are in talks to star in a new take on Chris Van Allsburg’s 1981 adventure novel. As of now, planning remains in the preliminary stages, as both Johnson and Hart have busy fall schedules.
Initially, the Jumanji remake was slated for a Christmas 2016 release date but has been pushed back another seven months to 2017. The original film adaptation featured the late Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst, among others. The 2017 version will be directed by Jake Kasdan.
