Puddle of Mudd singer Wes Scantlin was involved in an intense police standoff, TMZ reported this weekend.

Police were called to his house in March when they got a call about a burglary in a car sitting in Scantlin's driveway. When they arrived, Scantlin ran into his house and wouldn't come out. The police eventually broke down his back door and got him out of the house. The whole standoff included at least 30 officers with guns drawn.

The 43-year-old was arrested on a previous warrant, but not for this instance. TMZ say there was no burglary. Scantlin and his friends were just trying to jump start the car.

Scantlin is no stranger to run-ins with the law. He was arrested earlier this year for destroying property inside a house that was formerly his.
