Hollywood has sunk its teeth into Ghost in the Shell, a big-screen, live-action adaptation of the anime classic. The 2017 film stars Scarlett Johansson, and on Thursday (Apr. 14), the first look from the Paramount and DreamWorks production was shared, to much Internet fandom!

Directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and The Huntsman), the film stars Johansson as Major Motoko Kusanagi, who is trying to locate the hacker known as the Puppet Master and uncover the truth about her cybernetic self. Ghost in the Shell will draw from Masamune Shirow’s classic manga series and the critically lauded 1995 anime film.

Ghost in the Shell hits theaters on Mar. 31, 2017. Until then, check out our most anticipated films for the rest of 2016.
