Skepta is already big in his home city of London, but now the grime rapper is making major waves here in the States. The artist spoke this week with Zane Lowe on Apple's Beats 1 Radio to discuss the transition, reflecting on his Nigerian background, the relationships with his siblings, the U.K. grime scene and the time he got arrested.

But what most people will pick up from the interview is Skepta's friendship with Drake. While the Toronto artist won't make an appearance on Skepta's Konnichiwa album, there is a possibility the two will collaborate on Views from the 6.

The Grime MC revealed,

“We’re trying to do something for his record. It makes more sense to be on his record rather than mine. Trying to rush fake music or trying to act like you two are friends...We're just eradicating all that and just doing greatness as friends."
