When you've got a star-powered collaboration that involves 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne, you don't need a whole lot beyond their famous faces to make a memorable music video. That's the vibe with "Gotta Lotta," the visual for the latest single off ColleGrove, their 2016 collaborative album.
In the clip, the rappers are split into multiple frames all kaleidoscope-like as they roll through the verses of their hit, with plenty of smoke, drinks, beautiful women and a drummer to keep them company. Given the unabashed party/substance-lovin' sentiments of the track, the video is a perfect foil to the tune as it breaks it down to basics. Weed, good company and a sharp beat that keeps them thrashing throughout, and 2 Chainz and Weezy make a simple setup work for them in the best possible way.
Aside from ColleGrove, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne have been keeping busy in the sunnier months of 2016: They recently joined Chance The Rapper for "No Problems," which is set to be one of those songs that plays on an endless loop this summer. Lil Wayne found another high-voltage partner-in-crime in Ariana Grande, as the rapper guests on "Let Me Love You," one of the first singles off her new album, Dangerous Woman.
