Avenged SevenfoldKornSlipknotDisturbed and a laundry list of heavy bands are descending upon Champions Park near downtown Louisville, Kentucky on October 1 and 2 for the third annual Louder Than Life Festival, it was announced Tuesday (May 31).

There will be metal, yes, but there will also be a healthy dose of gastronomy involved, especially for fans of bourbon and craft beer.

As per a statement from festival founder and producer Danny Wimmer, you will come for the angry music, but stay for the local fair:

Louisville: The home of bourbon. Great people. Great food. How can those ingredients not make a perfect place to have a festival? This is a place you have to visit if you’re a lover of bourbon, a lover of food…a lover of life. I asked my team how we could top last year’s Louder Than Life sellout. The easy answer? Slipknot and Avenged Sevenfold."

Add Slayer to that already burly description, because they'll be playing as well. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, June 1st, so make sure to purchase them here. Check out the full line up—which boasts Pierce the VeilAnthrax and Cheap Trickright here
