Arsenio Hall is suing Sinead O'Connor following her accusation that the comedian supplied Prince with drugs. The Irish singer-songwriter first made the claims on Facebook earlier this week, calling out Hall as "Prince's and Eddie Murphy's bitch":
"Two words for the DEA investigating where prince got his drugs over the decades.... Arsenio Hall (AKA Prince's and Eddie Murphy's bitch) Anyone imagining prince was not a long time hard drug user is living in cloud cuckoo land."
Now, according to TMZ, Hall has fired back at O'Connor with a $5 million defamation lawsuit over the drug accusations. He reportedly stated the singer is "well known for her media antics and for seeking attention through inflammatory Facebook posts," and reveals he hasn't spoke to O'Connor in 25 years.
So what is the correlation between O'Connor and Prince? He wrote 1990's "Nothing Compares 2 U," her biggest worldwide hit to date. And according to Hall, she has "detested" him and Prince for a long time.
Prince passed away at age 57 on April 27 at his Paisley Park studios. Reports recently surfaced about the icon scheduled to meet with a specialist for alleged painkiller addiction one day prior to his death.
