Loved last year’s Adam Sandler comedy Pixels but wanted more Centipede action? Luckily, that classic arcade game is getting a big-screen adaptation, as is Atari’s Missile Command.
According to Deadline, Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films has finalized a deal to produce Centipede and Missile Command movies that will be based off the Atari staples. Both games launched in 1980 and feature players battling a barrage of pixels—some bugs, some missiles.
CEO Fred Chasnais says that Atari is “thrilled to partner with Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films to develop feature films based on two of our most beloved titles. Centipede and Missile Command are part of Atari’s unparalleled and rich library of popular games and we cannot wait to see the movies come to life.”
No word on release time frames for either film yet. If you’re a hardcore gamer, check out some of the coolest cosplay costumes at this year’s PAX East:
