The first Ghostbusters trailer for the upcoming remake was received very poorly. Actually, YouTube commenters have been vicious. More recently, the second official trailer was released and faired a bit better.

Dan Aykroyd, who co-wrote and starred in the 1980’s Ghostbusters movies, gave his review of the upcoming remake on his official Facebook page. Thankfully, he has nothing but praise for the feature film that casts Melissa McCarthy, Saturday Night Live alum Kristen Wiig, and current SNL cast members Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. He wrote:

"As originator of the original: Saw test screening of new movie. Apart from brilliant, genuine performances from the cast both female and male, it has more laughs and more scares than the first 2 films plus Bill Murray is in it! As one of millions of man-fans and Ray Stantz, I'm paying to see that and bringing all my friends!"

McCarthy, in a profile in The Guardian, spoke up against all the film’s haters. McCarthy told the newspaper“All those comments – ‘You’re ruining my childhood!’ I mean, really... Four women doing any movie on earth will destroy your childhood?”

Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15, 2016. Revisit the second official trailer for the film below.
