Daniel Craig is out of the Aston Martin and through with being Bond… James Bond. The 48-year-old actor has reportedly turned down a huge offer to stay in the role for two more films, and Tom Hiddleston is now considered his likely replacement.
According to the Telegraph, Craig was offered £68million to portray Bond in two more films, after starring in four features as the iconic British agent (most recently last year's Spectre). Craig reportedly told MGM that it "just wasn't what he wanted," and had to turn down the "huge amounts of money" being offered to stay in the role.
"Daniel is done - pure and simple - he told top brass at MGM after Spectre," says the source.
Meanwhile, a popular British bookmaker has suspended betting on the next James Bond after Hiddleston soared to 1-2 odds. The 35-year-old Brit is best known for playing Loki in the Thor films and The Avengers, and just wrapped The Night Manager for BBC One and AMC.
