Wondering what Harry Styles' music without One Direction will sound like? Well, take it from a guy who's heard it: people will be "shocked."

Snow Patrol band member Johnny McDaid told the Press Association that he's been collaborating with Styles, and that their recent songwriting sessions have been pretty baller:

"Harry is a really prolific artist and a super-talented guy. He's really authentic and he has an incredible voice, so we've been writing a lot of songs. We've been writing songs for years together. I'm really excited by the way he's sounding at the minute, he's such a talent. I think the world is going to be really shocked at what he comes up with."

The guitarist/keyboardist couldn't say when the music will surface, but he says that most of it is being recorded in a make-shift living room situation. "It'll blow the socks off the world," McDaid says.

McDaid has worked with One Direction writer Ed Sheeran in the past. As for Harry himself, he's written for Alex & Sierra, Ariana GrandeGavin Degraw and Augustana. It's about time we get a solo LP, right?
