Lauryn Hill fans went wild after the rapper/singer hit the stage two hours late in Atlanta this past Friday night, resulting in a 40-minute set cut short by the venue's curfew. Although Hill offered an on-the-spot reaction to an iPhone muckraker ("My driver got lost, I can't control that"), she took to Facebook on Sunday to offer a more in-depth explanation.
"Because I care so deeply about the artistic process, I scrutinize, have perfectionist tendencies, and want space made for spontaneity, which is not an easy process, with the many moving parts on the road," part of the mea culpa reads. She also tells fans she is "figuring out a plan to make it up to you, and will announce details as soon as we have them."
