We said a little prayer and it has been answered: A Dionne Warwick biopic is in the works, and it's got a great cast to boot.

LeToya Luckett—an original member of Destiny's Child who's released two albums to date and boasts a a fruitful TV and movie career—will play the legendary singer, as announced by Warwick herself at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, per The Hollywood Reporter.

At the announcement event for the biopic, titled DionneLady Gaga, Olympia Dukakis and Danny Glover were all announced as cast members in the film. Though, immediately after the event, Gaga's reps sent out a statement saying she was not involved with the project. Dukakis will play Marlene Dietrich (who mentored Warwick at the start of her career), with Glover playing the singer's father.

Warwick said Mario Van Peebles is in talks to direct. The longtime hitmaker also had nothing but praise to for the future film's star. "She is perfect and she has exactly the right look," she said of Luckett. "She will bring out what is needed for this part."

LeToya will also perform songs for the film's soundtrack, so expect her to bring those vocals we all fell in love with from "Torn" and "Regret."

Dionne is slated to begin production late this year. Let's take it back with one of Dionne's iconic hits, shall we?
