Could Megan Fox play Princess Kitana in the next big-screen adaptation of the classic video game series Mortal Kombat? Sure! Maybe! At least, the actress expresses interest in the role in a new interview.

In a chat with Cinepop (via ComicBook.com), Fox is asked about her ideal superhero or super villain film role. Her answer? "I thought of Kitana from Mortal Kombat if they ever make that movie again. I've always loved her fans and the blades, um, but that's the only one I could think of."

The slight problem with Fox’s wish: Kitana (played by Talisa Soto in 1995’s Mortal Kombat and 1997’s Mortal Kombat: Annihilation) is definitely not white! However, that’s never stopped Hollywood from tweaking a character’s ethnicity before

There’s no timetable for a new Mortal Kombat film to go into production, but James Wan, the Furious 7 director, signed on to produce a new project last August.
