Prince Royce continues to return to his bachata roots with his latest single.
"La Carretera" (or "The Road" in English) is one of the Latin star's smoothest releases, which has the 27-year-old's tender harmonies gliding over the sexy beat. The song's lyrics talk of wondering about a lost lover, as Royce repeats "¿Dónde estarás?" ("Where will you be?") on the addictive hook.
The track was released Friday (May 20) and quickly followed up with its accompanying video that tells a tangled romance story. Watch above as Royce reminisces about a lost love—including their dates, breakup and sexy times—while being served espresso from a cute waitress. When the singer tries to reconnect with his ex at a shopping plaza, she blows him off, and it's only at the very end of the visual that we see the ex pining and looking to catch Royce's attention as he drives past her place. Please say there's a part two on the way.
Following "Culpa al Corazón" from November, "La Carretera" previews The Bronx native's upcoming bachata album, scheduled for release this year.
