You've probably heard the phrase "horror punk" before, but how familiar are you with the godfathers of it? The Misfits created the genre term, taking hardcore and combining it with the severity of goth aesthetic. The result was revolutionary, if you're a human of this earth you've seen their iconic skull logo.

Anyway, the reason these dudes killed the game was due in large part to frontman Glenn Danzig. He left the band 33 years ago, and as of today, has decided to rejoin. That's right, folks: the OG Misfits lineup is back!

According to a press release, the band will reunite at Riot Fest in Denver (September 2-4) and Chicago (September 16-18). More dates will be announced soon.
