T.I. makes a return to hip-hop with new single, "Dope." Featuring R&B singer Marsha Ambrosius, the Dr. Dre-produced track pulls a sample from an Aaliyah classic. The late artist's "Rock The Boat" loops throughout, making it even more of a danceable groove. The accompanying video was released via Tidal today (May 16), which makes sense since the rapper is now a co-owner. Watch the regal, lady-filled video above.
"Feel like I'm on dope / High as a motherfucker / Boy you get me high / Baby we can coast / Boy you get me high," Ambrosius sings on the chorus as T.I.'s laid-back ATL drawl floats over the luxe production.
Just one listen to "Dope" will make you yearn for a cruising drop-top ride in the summertime. It is the first single from T.I.'s forthcoming 10th studio album, The Dime Trap. There is no set release yet as of now, but it will be distributed through Roc Nation.
