Andre Fuentes, who served as a longtime backup dancer and choreographer for Britney Spears, died at the age of 40 on Tuesday, May 31, PopCrush reports.

Fuentes' contribution to Spears' choreography routines spanned 15 years. He originally joined the pop star on her 1999 ...Baby One More Time tour, and worked his way from a backup dancer to the role of choreographer.

Fuentes wasn't just a Spears-collaborator, as he boasted working credits with BeyoncéPrinceNo Doubt and Brandy. In the wake of his death—the cause of which is so far unconfirmed—various tributes from the dance community and beyond have surfaced online
