Eric Nam, KOLAJ

Sometimes subtlety is the key. While many K-pop stars' initial foray into the U.S. music market is usually marked with big-name producers and bombastic music videos, Eric Nam is opting to a different route for results that are stunning and one of the scene's best attempts to get an artist on the map.

The singer/TV host has teamed with dance-pop duo Kolaj for a delicious, summery tropical-house jam "Into You." Premiered via the Fader, the track is centered around the acts' breathy-yet-uplifting vocal performances and a euphoric saxophone riff that won't leave your head anytime soon. Listen below:

Despite collaborating with the likes of Kaskade and signing with Interscope Records, Kolaj is still an EDM upstart and "Into You" is the type of breakout track that could bring them to the forefront of the electronic (and perhaps even the pop) scene. Meanwhile, bringing in a male vocal with Eric—who sounds right at home on the track—only widens the record's appeal.

Could this tropical K-pop cut—or "K-Trop" as Kolaj described to the Fader—be a stateside breakout hit? It's certainly the best and most exciting attempt from a K-pop star we've heard in a minute.
