Pete Doherty of the Libertines has a written a song about the terrorist attack at the Bataclan in Paris earlier this year, when 89 people were killed during an Eagles of Death Metal concert. During a tour stop in Manchester, the rocker busted out the tune, called "Hell to Pay at the Gates of Heaven."
“’Hell To Pay At The Gates Of Heaven’ is about the fucking Bataclan," Doherty told NME. "It’s about how we’re under attack.” Doherty will be the first act to play at the Bataclan when it is reopened on Nov. 13.
"Come on boys, choose your weapons / J-45 or an AK-47 / There's hell to pay at the gates of heaven / and the whole show, it comes tumbling down," Doherty sings on the track, which sounds more upbeat than it actually is.
