Pusha T is a hip-hop firebrand and rhyme-spitting extraordinaire, but the man apparently has a talent for writing corporate jingles. If you're familiar with the McDonald's tune "I'm Lovin' It," you'd probably think a hitmaker like Pharrell was the author.

You'd be wrong. In an interview with Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning on Wednesday (June 1), marketing exec and former record producer Steve Stoute explained that Pusha T is the auteur of the hamburger chain's best-known slogan.

Stoute, who runs the marketing firm Translation, told host Ebro Darden about his company's first big contract from eleven years ago—writing a corporate jingle for McDonald's. The host assumes Pharrell devised the catchy tune, but Stoute corrects him: "You know who did that? Pusha T. That's crazy that Pusha T wrote the song for McDonald's."

Darden adds in astonishment: "That rebranded McDonald's for the next decade," which essentially means that Pusha T is fast-food industry titan, or something close. Watch video of the exchange above, which occurs around the four-minute mark. Then watch King Push in conversation with Fuse:
