This weekend our favorite California rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers hit the stage at Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands. Instead of a straight forward RHCP set (you know, which would be enough to satisfy any riff-lovin' fan) the guys opted to surprise the Dutch audience with a Beatles cover.
It was nothing too obvious, either. The guys rocked through "Hey Bulldog" from the iconic English band's 1966 album, Yellow Submarine.
They did one better than a standard cover. Frontman Anthony Kiedis decided to give Flea a break from his bass duties and picked up the stringed instrument himself. It made for a very special moment. Watch it above.
