On Thursday, Chicago police confirmed that Sinead O’Connor was being hunted after making threats of suicide. Hours later, the singer took to Facebook to deny those reports and declare that she’s “far too fucking happy” to consider suicide.

“It's bullshit I jumped off a bridge, some stupid bitch up at Swords Garda station decided she'd like to throw a bit of false and malicious gossip about is all,” O’Connor wrote. “AM FAR TOO FUCKING HAPPY FOR THAT!!”

The “Nothing Compares 2 U” star did not specify where she was, but Chicago police had reportedly received a call from O’Connor threatening to jump off a bridge in Chicago. In November 2015, O’Connor posted a suicide note to Facebook, claiming she had taken an overdose of pills.

The singer also used the opportunity to celebrate Brexit and what it means for Ireland. “Ireland is officially no longer owned by Britain!!!!” she wrote.
