Following the shooting of five police officers in Dallas earlier this week, Beyoncé has delivered a tribute along with the message that “no violence will create peace.”

Beyoncé penned a short statement accompanied by a video that cycles through the names of the officers killed this past Thursday night. The singer expressed that she is praying for a quick recovery for the other officers who were injured. She wrote:

“Every human life is valuable. We must be the solution. Every human being has the right to gather in peaceful protest without suffering more unnecessary violence. To effect change we must show love in the face of hate and peace in the face of violence.”

Earlier this week, Beyoncé posted an urgent call to action after the killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. She encouraged people to contact their local politicians to enact social and legislative change. Revisit Beyoncé’s message here.
