Beyoncé's Formation World Tour is a ginormous production. There's a huge moving screen, a water pit, dancers doing trapeze work, DJ Khaled bringing out all his friends. Put all that in multiple arenas? It's massive.

And while the costumes might be small in size (Bey's leotard obsession will never die), their creation takes place through a much bigger process. In an interview with costume designer Marni Senofonte and the rest of the tour crew, fans get to see how the pieces are created.

First, they get major designers (including Dsquared2, Roberto Cavalli, Atsuko Kudo and Balmain) to sketch some mock-up ideas, then Senofonte and Beyoncé herself go through and make suggestions, then the designers sketch again and the piece is on its way to production.

As for the signature fishnets that Bey wears onstage, those have to go through customization too. Each pair is dyed to properly match the tone of each dancer's skin. Neat, huh?
