Daniel Radcliffe stars in a forthcoming crime thriller, Imperium, in which he plays young FBI agent Nate Foster. Today, the first trailer's here.
Radcliffe’s character undergoes a transformation from a clean-cut professional look to that of a skinhead to investigate and ultimately take down a radical right-wing organization. As he inculcates himself into this white supremacist group, he faces his own ethical challenges as to what he’s willing to do on the job. Imperium also showcases Toni Collette as Radcliffe’s supervisor and features turns from Burn Gorman and Sam Trammell.
Imperium is actually based on the real life of Michael Gorman, who for years infiltrated right-wing organizations in the United States. Gorman later wrote his memoir Thinking Like a Terrorist: Insights of a Former FBI Undercover Agent.
Imperium will be released in theaters Aug. 19.
