Kanye West popped up at Drake and Future’s Summer Sixteen show in Chicago last night, which is a cool thing and was undoubtedly enjoyable for those in attendance. For our purposes, however, the real news of the appearance is that West broke his silence on the showdown between his wife, Kim Kardashian West, and Taylor Swift.

“All I gotta say is, I am so glad my wife has Snapchat,” Kanye told the crowd, before performing “Father Stretch My Hands, Pt. 1” at the arena show. “And now y’all can know the truth. And can’t nobody talk shit about Ye no more.”

Indeed, West and Kardashian West have been championed on the Internet for exposing Swift as disingenuous following the release of “Famous.” A squabble over West asking Swift’s permission to reference her in the song escalated earlier this month when Kardashian West posted footage of a phone call between the two superstars on Snapchat.
