Everyone was oozing with excitement when My Chemical Romance dropped a cryptic teaser on Twitter yesterday, which led many to think the band was reuniting. But sorry kids, we have to crush your black hearts. The emo act issued a statement on Twitter explaining there will be no reunion after all.
"We've been really touched and blown away by the response to the teaser trailer. We are not touring and there is no reunion planned—only a release for the anniversary of The Black Parade," it reads.
Thank you so much for the love. pic.twitter.com/3wv6G7CXIk— My Chemical Romance (@MCRofficial) July 21, 2016
While there won't be a reunion anytime soon, at least fans can enjoy the reissue of The Black Parade. According to Entertainment Weekly, the MCR project will include previously unreleased demos and drops Sept. 23 in honor of its 10th anniversary.
