I AM SCREAMING. PLAGIARISM MEANS NOTHING TO THESE REPUBLICANS. QUOTING A MY LITTLE PONY ON NATIONAL TELEVISION. pic.twitter.com/9kI3Llnpkp— Ashley Reese (@offbeatorbit) July 19, 2016
You can’t make this stuff up: a chief strategist of the Republican National Convention has compared Melania Trump’s RNC speech from Monday night, widely accused of plagiarizing Michelle Obama’s speech from the 2008 DNC, to My Little Pony, in an effort to defend Mrs. Trump.
On CNN, RNC Communications Director Sean Spicer broke down Trump’s speech and compared her cliched language to other cliches by people like Kid Rock and John Legend. The humdinger, however, is from Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony, who famously said, “This is your dream, anything you can do in your dreams you can do now.”
You think Spicer is pumped for the My Little Pony movie in October 2017? Perhaps at that point a certain presidential campaign will be a long-forgotten farce *sighs wistfully*
