Nelly Furtado is back, and she's whipping us into shape with a bass line that you can't hide from. After making an appearance at VH1 Hip Hop Honors on Monday, the singer has dropped "Behind Your Back," a new track about gossiping about an ex as a way to reminisce on a relationship.

"It's nothing bad / It's all I have / It's just a chance to say your name, baby," she sings over the funky beat. It wouldn't be surprising if pal Dev Hynes was involved here: After all, she appears on his Freetown Sound album and they recorded a cassette, Hadron Collider, together at the beginning of the year.

Furtado admits that "Behind Your Back" won't be on her upcoming album, the follow-up to 2012's The Spirit Indestructible. That means we'll be getting even more music!

This year is the 10th anniversary of Furtado's Loose, which launched her further into stardom with "Promiscuous," "Maneater" and "Say It Right." Check out how we ranked the songs on Loose, and then revisit these other huge tracks from 2006. Then watch a throwback video, where she speaks on The Spirit Indestructible:
