Whether you wanted it back or not, The Hills is returning to your TV screens and now we have a quick look at what we can expect from the upcoming anniversary special.

In a trailer for The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now, the show's star Lauren Conrad says, "We would say, 'If you knew the real story, you would understand,'" among classic clips of her friends and frenemies like like Heidi Montag, before adding, "What I would like to do is tell that story and take a look what things are like now." Juicy.

Fans remember the MTV reality-ish series ran that from 2006 to 2010. The popular show followed Conrad along with her Laguna Beach co-stars like Montag, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, Lo Bosworth, Kristin Cavallari, and Spencer and Stephanie Pratt, as they pursued careers, partying and relationships in Los Angeles.

According to the video's description, Conrad (who undoubtedly has had the most success post-Hills) will host the special. No other names have been announced.

The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now airs Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 9:00pm on MTV. Want to take it even further back to 2006? Watch a throwback interview clip of babyfaced Channing Tatum and Amanda Bynes flirting while promoting their movie, She's the Man on Fuse's Daily Download:
