Your Halloween is about to get even more frightening this year, because American Horror Story has teamed up with Universal Studios for Halloween Horror Nights. The popular FX series by Ryan Murphy will come to life as a maze at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort, which will be based on three seasons.
Visitors can expect the wicked ghosts from season one's Murder House, the disturbing Twisty the Clown from season four's Freak Show and the recent vampire-based season's Hotel (#JusticeForAsylum). Here's to hoping that Lady Gaga, who starred as The Countess in Hotel, will be incorporated or even pop up in the maze.
John Murdy, Creative Director at Universal Studios Hollywood and Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights, said in a statement:
“American Horror Story is one of the most disturbing television shows ever produced, and with such perverse storylines unfolding with each installment, Halloween Horror Nights is undoubtedly the only place that could create a living version of the nightmares that Ryan Murphy dreams up. Plus, as a fan favorite, American Horror Story has been the number one requested maze from our guests and we’re excited to let them know that we listened to them and are bringing American Horror Story to life.”
Halloween Horror Nights will open on Sept. 16, with the sixth season of AHS premiering on Sept. 14. There's still no word of what the theme will be, but based on the new teasers they are not holding back the creep factor.
