Halsey Scores First No. 1 Single With Chainsmokers Collab ‘Closer’

Congrats are in order for both Halsey and The Chainsmokers, who, with their powers combined, have collected their first No. 1 single on the Hot 100 chart with the new collaboration “Closer.”

As Billboard notes, “Closer” vaults 6-1 on this week’s Hot 100, hitting the top spot in just its third week on the chart. The song bumps Sia’s “Cheap Thrills” out of the No. 1 slot, and is about to blow up at radio all well: On this week’s Radio Songs chart, “Closer” zooms 35-19.
